1) Briefly tell us about yourself. My name is Szymon Urbanczyk, I'm from Poland. I work in the coffee industry for the past 3 years. I work in Bear Market IFSC.
2) Have you ever entered a coffee competition before? Yes, I successfully haven't fainted during my performance last year at the aeropress competition.
3) What is your favourite thing about the AeroPress? It's very hard to make a bad coffee using aeropress. Also it is made of plastic so it's babyproof.
4) What would your autobiography be called? Beautiful, talented, humble.
5) If you could have any coffee superpower, what would it be? I would like to have a refractometer in my tongue.
6) What coffee producing country would you most like to visit and why? Ethiopia because you can fly to it with only one plane from Dublin and I don't like flying.
7) You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why? Yellow, because using a yellow crayon you can draw chips and chips are life.

Hi I'm Stephen Houston, I'm 32 years old and I'm the Head Roaster at Bailies Coffee Roasters based in Belfast.
2) Have you ever entered a coffee competition before?
Yes I have, I've done brewers cup 3 times, cup tasters twice, UK batch brewers cup, Barista league and want to do barista this year!
3) What is your favourite thing about the AeroPress?
Really great for travelling, easy to use.

Roast level sight, ability to tell roast level just by looking at it!

Kenya, consistently my favourite coffee to drink, would love to see where it comes from.

An even darker deeper shade of black, matt black things always look better.

My wife, my phone, all the pizza in the world.

Went on a school trip to France and on the first night cried down the phone because i hated it, couldn't speak very much French (clearly lied about my skills to go on the trip) and missed my mum, I was 14 years old.
Leon Nevill Gallagher
1) Briefly tell us about yourself.
I’m Leon. I am nineteen and am about to enter my second year of Photography in IADT. Can’t say I have loved it but, I can’t say I’ve hated it! Win-Win I guess! I also play a little bit of music on the side. I began using machines as a kid, making my parents their morning coffee and when they began TwoBeans in 2012 I have been making and learning coffee ever since.

No (Maybe I should have kept it that way?)
3) What is your favourite thing about the AeroPress?
It’s ability to produce a round body and balanced acidity in the cup. Because boy god does this appreciation become a lot more apparent when traveling and the local coffee shops ‘espresso’ is flowing at a million miles a second through a machine which hasn’t seen a scoop of Cafiza since the 1950’s – extra flavour?
4) What would your autobiography be called?
Leon’s Longevous List of Mishaps.
5) If you could have any coffee superpower, what would it be?
To magically make milk drinkers enjoy their milk steamed in or around 60-65 degrees.
6) What coffee producing country would you most like to visit and why?
Kenya. They have produced a number of my favourite coffees to date and it is the country which I can first remember a coffee coming out of that ‘blew my mind’.
7) You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?
If I were a crayon, I’d have a bloody hard time making an Aeropress.
8) If you were trapped on a desert island, what 3 things would you bring?
1 – Toilet paper. Highly underestimated.
2 – Coffee Cherries, in hope of one day growing a tree.
3- A sheet of tarpaulin to evaporate the sea water giving me fresh water. Primarily to germinate the seeds and water the plant. And hey, maybe keep a few sips for myself along the way.

Hard working, arrogant when passionate and supposedly sweet.

11) If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
The Harp Seal. Their pretty adorable and flop around with their buds all day long, catching a few fish here and there. The pups are born with no fat, instead coming out as thick white fur balls.

I grew out this rather sketchy attempt at a moustache on holiday with a group of friends and now I secretly love it. Although I can’t speak for my folks or girlfriend.

Andrew McCrann
1) Briefly tell us about yourself.
I'm 27 and I work at Two Beans coffee bar out in Dun Laoghaire. I'v been working there for the last 16 months. Other then my passion for coffee, I love playing rugby and golf. I also enjoy the odd bit of music and Netflix.
2) Have you ever entered a coffee competition before?
Yes, nationally I competed in the Irish Latte Art 2017 and the Irish Brewers Cup 2018. Also regionally I won the Liberty Brewers Cup 2017 and competed again this year. This will be my first Aeropress competition.
3) What is your favourite thing about the Aeropress?
My favourite thing about the Aeropress is how versatile it is. It can be used in so many different ways with so many different recipes.
4) What would your autobiography be called?

5) If you could have any coffee superpower, what would it be?
If I had a coffee superpower, I'd love to be able to have TDS vision (TDS coffee with my eyes).

I'd love to visit Hawaii for it's amazing culture and coastal coffee farms.

Matteo Colaci
1) Briefly tell us about yourself.
I'm Matteo 33 years old and I'm from Italy. Coffee and music lover.
I started the adventure as a bartender in Dublin three years ago, honestly I was looking for whatever job. I was not interested in this kind of environment but as I started to be in love with this magic world
After that I left to Killarney for one year, but my curiosity about coffee, single origins, extraction method, I was growing so I decided to stalk The Bookshelf Coffee House in Cork and now I 'm where I want to stay: in the specialty coffee industry.
2) Have you ever entered a coffee competition before?
Yes only 3. The first one was 2017 Cork AeroPress competition. After that I was in London Coffee Masters 2018. This year I took part in the 2018 Cork aeropress competition.
3) What is your favourite thing about the AeroPress?
In the AeroPress there are so many factors that can influence the final result: pressure, infusion, water temperature, blooming (or not), stir (or not). In the AeroPress there is more fantasy than rules… you can reach the best result taking so many different ways.
4) What would your autobiography be called?

5) If you could have any coffee superpower, what would it be?
Kind of super robotic eyes that can scan the coffee beans and calculate all the parameters to make it perfect.
6) What coffee producing country would you most like to visit and why?
Well, In my life I already visit Central America so I think I would be cuirous to visit something completely different.
I say Kenya cause I love Kenyan coffees and I really would like to visit Africa.. Well maybe Ethiopia as well...Rwanda… ehm that's a hard question lol.

7) You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?
Brown as the earth, calm, quite. Is a colour that is not too loud (as I am). You don't really care about brown but is always around and it can surprise you when not expected. You don't realize it's missing before it disappears!
8) If you were trapped on a desert island, what 3 things would you bring?
I'm in the Caribe isn't it? Cause i need to plant some coffee! Coffee seeds, coffee textile filter, and a gooseneck kettle… I will build a hammock myself!

John Sullivan
1) Briefly tell us about yourself.
The name's John, originally from New York but ended up in Dublin. Been working in coffee the last five years. Love photography, cycling, music, pizza, and wandering around aimlessly.
2) Have you ever entered a coffee competition before?
A couple of latte art throwdowns, and the Aeropress Champs three times.
3) What is your favourite thing about the AeroPress?
Suuuuper easy to carry around for excursions to the shticks, real consistent, and the fact it can survive being thrown across a room!
4) What would your autobiography be called?
"North American Rebel Scum: The tale of impromptu madness and adventure"
5) If you could have any coffee superpower, what would it be?
The ability to craft perfect cups of whatever bean I want. Obviously, it would be a super power that allows me to blast coffee/beans/etc from my hands and feet in an Iron Man-esque way. Maybe from a suit. But yeah, I could fly then too.
6) What coffee producing country would you most like to visit and why?
Either Ethiopia or Kenya! The region's the birthplace of coffee, an abundance of different varieties, and I've never had a bad coffee from either country.

Pandemonium red. It changed colors as you use it, but in no actual order.

Solar powered, waterproof CB radio, one of those water-powered jet packs, and I guess a source of food/coffee?

Yes! I won 6th place in the 2013 UK aeropress comp. I had a trophy made up.

Being able to make a really strong filter coffee.
