1) Briefly tell us about yourself. Hello, my name is James! In a nutshell I’m 23, a coffee roaster, a barista and a model. I studied business in university and now I make coffee for people on the reg, and I love it.

2) Have you ever entered a coffee competition before? Never, this is my first one and I’m excited!

3) What is your favourite thing about the AeroPress? The possibilities. It’s both complex and simple. It’s also super compact and durable which allows me to bring it with me whenever I travel. Being able to brew my own coffee when I’m away is handy af.

4) What would your autobiography be called? “No Filter”

5) And who would play you when said autobiography is made into a film? Denzel Washington

6) What coffee producing country would you most like to visit and why? Kenya. I love Kenyan coffee. I would like to see their processes and I’d be interested in their way of life.

7) Any hidden talents? I occasionally sing and play guitar.

8) If you were trapped on a desert island, what 3 things would you bring? Coffee, gin and peanut butter.

9) Describe yourself in 3 words. Easy-going, energetic, ambitious.

11) If you were an animal, what would you be and why? I’d be a peacock spider. Google it!

12) What first drew you to working in the coffee industry and if you weren’t working in the coffee industry, what would you be doing?
I first started drinking coffee like everyone does, with lots of sugar. I first began drinking speciality coffee with a friend in Limerick and have been obsessed ever since. If I wasn’t working in coffee I’d probably be working in an office somewhere!

13) Whats the best coffee experience you've had to date?
The whole World of Coffee 2019 experience in Berlin was amazing. I tasted some belter coffees and got to meet great new people.

14) If you could have any coffee superpower, what would it be? To be able to roast coffee with hand gestures 👐🏼

1) Briefly tell us about yourself.
My name is Eduardo, I am from Mexico, i work in the coffee industry as a Barista for 8 years, I´m an English student here in Dublin, i studied gastronomy in Mexico.

2) Have you ever entered a coffee competition before?
Yes, in Mexico I competed in Latte Art in 2011 and 2012, I participated in Aeropresscompetiton 2018 in Canada.

3) What is your favourite thing about the AeroPress?
I like the cleanliness of the cup and how bright the method can be

4) What would your autobiography be called?
How far can you go

5) What coffee producing country would you most like to visit and why?
Mexico, I would like to continue learning from mexican coffee, I´m fortunate to come from a producing country that I have to take to the front and make known the greatness of Mexican coffee.

6) Any hidden talents?
Hidden no, but my other talent is cooking.

&) If you were trapped on a desert island, what 3 things would you bring?
Fire stone, fishing net, satellite phone.

9) Describe yourself in 3 words.
Friendly, dedicated and patient.

10) If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
Bear because It may seem like a quiet animal but it has a great character, they like to eat fish, and they can be very strong, it is a very large animal

11) What first drew you to working in the coffee industry and if you weren’t working in the coffee industry, what would you be doing?
I like to drink coffee, I like to be behind the bar and meet people, I like that every day you can try something different in each cup, if I didn't work as a barista I would be working as a pastry chef

12)Whats the best coffee experience you've had to date?
Participate in competitions, be able to travel to know more coffee shops and try more coffees

13) If you could have any coffee superpower, what would it be?
Be world champion of baristas and cupping

1) Briefly tell us about yourself.
Hi I’m Varun, I’m from Mauritius, I work in the coffee industry for the past 5 years, last 2 years for Gather&Gather.

2) Have you ever entered a coffee competition before?
Yes I have. 2014-Irish latte art championship, 2018- Irish cup tasters, and I just won Gather&Gather barista of the year competition.

3) What is your favourite thing about the AeroPress?
It’s easy to carry everywhere. You can make yourself a cup of coffee even on the plane 😊

4) What would your autobiography be called?
Where am I going?

5) And who would play you when said autobiography is made into a film?
Nana Patekar (Indian film actor)

6) What coffee producing country would you most like to visit and why?
Costa Rica, because one of my favorites coffee is from there.. and beautiful beaches of course 😊

7) Any hidden talents?
I’m a great cook 😁

8) If you were trapped on a desert island, what 3 things would you bring?
My wife, bottle of rhum and suncream.

11) If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
Eagle- so I can fly everywhere I want.

12) What first drew you to working in the coffee industry and if you weren’t working in the coffee industry, what would you be doing?
It was an accident. I had never been a coffee drinker, but once I got a beautiful espresso and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. If I wasn’t a barista I would be chef.

13) Whats the best coffee experience you've had to date?
I really enjoy Farami De Dota (Costa Rica 😊) coffee from 3fe.

14) If you could have any coffee superpower, what would it be?
To grow the best coffee possible

1) Briefly tell us about yourself.
My name is Jake, I’ve been working part time as a barista in Happy Out for almost a year and a half. I’m in RCSI studying medicine at the moment, outside that I love sports and over the summers I always to try to get away somewhere new and travel.

2) Have you ever entered a coffee competition before?
Nope, this is my first time.

3) What is your favourite thing about the AeroPress?
The simplicity of it while still making a great coffee and also being able to bring good coffee when I went to Vancouver this summer was huge!

4) What would your autobiography be called?
Anything but Jake the Snake…

5) And who would play you when said autobiography is made into a film?
Denzel Washington (My brother’s suggestion)

6) What coffee producing country would you most like to visit and why? Probably Kenya – Some of the best coffees I’ve had come from there, and also wouldn’t say no to a safari.

7) Any hidden talents?
Random one, but I compete in the hammer throw.

8) If you were trapped on a desert island, what 3 things would you bring?
Hammock, sun tan lotion, and a satellite phone.

11) If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
Civet cat, so I could even shit great coffee.

12) What first drew you to working in the coffee industry and if you weren’t working in the coffee industry, what would you be doing?
Started really enjoying drinking coffee and starting messing around brewing at home, so I did a workshop in DBS and then having friends working in Happy Out I ended up working down there last summer, and I’m still there now. If I wasn’t working, I’d probably just be spending more time in college.

13) What’s the best coffee experience you've had to date?
Probably doing that first barista workshop in DBS with my cousin over two years ago now, it was my first experience with making specialty coffee and I can just remember having my mind blown afterwards and wanting to start working as a barista straight away.

14) If you could have any coffee superpower, what would it be?
For everything I touch to be dialled in.

Competing in World barista Championships in Boston 2019 and Coffee masters 2018

Never, just with my husband over who makes the best brew.

The quick, quality coffee it produces.

India, not just for the coffee but also for the food and culture.

Multi tasking ( try carrying a baby in a car seat and a handful of groceries from the car to the house on a hot summers day)

Hand cream, music and Bear Grylls.

Not currently working in the coffee industry, but spend alot of my spare time experiencing different coffees.

13) Whats the best coffee experience you've had to date?
Sipping my own brewed coffee at the summit of Slieve Donard.

14) If you could have any coffee superpower, what would it be?
The Popeye effect but with coffee and not spinach.

1) Briefly tell us about yourself.
My names Liam, I work with coffee and have done for the past few years. The first type of filter coffee I ever made was with an Aeropress. I think it's a very under rated brewer. I like long walks on the beach and feel very strongly about Barrys Tea being better than Lyons.

2) Have you ever entered a coffee competition before?
I have. I've done a few latte art throwdown, regional aeropress competition, coffee brewing competition and competed in The Barista League in Sweden.

3) What is your favourite thing about the AeroPress?
Durability. Makes it great for travelling as it can go in a suitcase and wont (touch wood) break. Also my problem hand grinder fits right into it saving more space.

4) What would your autobiography be called?
There is no such thing as a LARGE FLAT WHITE!!!

5) And who would play you when said autobiography is made into a film?
Colin Harmon

6) What coffee producing country would you most like to visit and why?
Rwanada. A good buddy of mine has been working there for the last year so he could show me all the best bits and I love African coffees.

7) Any hidden talents?
I'm pretty nifty in the kitchen.

12) What first drew you to working in the coffee industry and if you weren’t working in the coffee industry, what would you be doing?
Honestly I liked coffee anyway but I was used to working in restaurants so daytime work drew me, then I fell in love. Probably full time musician.

13) Whats the best coffee experience you've had to date?
The Barista League in Sweden has to be up there. Met some amazing people and had so much fun as well as having the chance to travel.

14) If you could have any coffee superpower, what would it be?
Grind coffee as consistent at an Mahlkonig EK43 (a good one that's been aligned of course) with my bar hands.

1) Briefly tell us about yourself.
I work for Established Coffee, in Belfast, looking after training and events both in our Academy Training Space and at events. I live in Bangor, with my wife Amy, two young sons Seth and Ari, and our Jack Russell/Shih Tzu cross called Peggy.

2) Have you ever entered a coffee competition before?
Few Irish Brewers’ Cups and won the 2018 Northern Irish AeroPress competition.

3) What is your favourite thing about the AeroPress?
Portable, ridiculously easy to clean and it’s very easy to manipulate the variables to get a coffee to suit each person.

4) What would your autobiography be called?
Not As Angry As His Face Might Suggest

5) And who would play you when said autobiography is made into a film?
Tommy Lee Jones - only actor I could think of with a 'resting angry face'

6) What coffee producing country would you most like to visit and why
Brazil - used a semi-carbonic macerated Brazilian coffee in a Brewers Cup and would love to meet the producers of such an incredible coffee.

7) Any hidden talents?
Can recognise any famous person’s voice, from a short recording OR identify cars simply from their headlights

8) If you were trapped on a desert island, what 3 things would you bring
Whole Canon of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Pop Up Tent & Magnifying Glass (for starting fires)

Coffee was an essential part of my everyday life. Maybe an actor, or a civil servant acting like he enjoys his job!

Single O in Sydney - amazing coffee, great food with world class service.

Get an espresso grinder to produce the same dose amount/quality/distribution of coffee every time just by looking at it
